Tipping Point Community’s corporate engagement program brings companies together to fight poverty in the Bay Area. Since 2014, we have joined forces with 23 companies to raise over $10M for the most promising poverty fighting non-profits in our region and engage closely with their work.
As part of the program, Tipping Point has collaborated with Boston Consulting Group and partners to develop the SF Gives Playbook. Aimed at helping companies diversify their workforce and develop innovative corporate philanthropy efforts, the Playbook offers a rich educational resource.
- 100% of every dollar donated through SF Gives supports those in need in the Bay Area.
- Companies get a seat on the SF Gives Kitchen Cabinet, the coalition of member companies who meet quarterly to hear from experts in the fields of education, employment, housing and health, share best practices, and develop joint philanthropic engagement opportunities.
- SF Gives participants have opportunities for volunteering, board placement, site visits and learning opportunities with Tipping Point’s 44 grantee organizations.
- Tipping Point provides advisory services to help companies shape their efforts related to local anti-poverty efforts, grant-making processes and metrics and evaluation, all customized to the company’s needs.
