“We intervene today by providing people living in poverty with support, while we also influence tomorrow to prevent the conditions that are leading people to fall into poverty in the first place.” On May 2, 2024 Chief Program Officer Ali Sutton addressed nearly 1,000 friends and supporters at the Tipping Point Benefit, where attendees raised over $14.5 million to fund poverty-fighting organizations, advance policies, and develop new ideas to increase economic opportunity in the Bay Area.
Tipping Point’s strategy finds, funds, and strengthens the most promising poverty-fighting solutions so one day everyone in the Bay Area can prosper. Since 2005, we have invested over $410 million in community interventions, policy change, and new ideas.
Last year, our grantees provided life-changing services in housing, early childhood, education, and employment to over 90,000 of our neighbors across the Bay Area.
