Mumbi believes it is our responsibility as human beings to use the resources available to ourselves and our privilege to positively impact and improve the lives of folks who are underserved. They admire Tipping Point’s intersectional approach to ending the cycle of poverty and are excited to be able to contribute to this mission-driven organization. Mumbi earned their B.A. in African and African Diaspora Studies with a minor in sociology from Boston College. Prior to Tipping Point, Mumbi took a gap year and worked at the San Francisco Housing Authority, where they witnessed firsthand how vital it is to provide underserved communities with adequate resources and opportunities. During Mumbi’s free time they like to spend time with their friends in the sun and explore different places in Oakland.
