100% of Donations Benefit Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund

Metallica, Dead & Company, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, G-Eazy, Rancid and Raphael Saadiq will take the stage at AT&T Park on Thursday, November 9 for the Band Together Bay Area concert for North Bay fire relief.

100% of ticket sales from the concert will go to an emergency relief fund established by Tipping Point Community. Tipping Point will direct funds to North Bay community foundations, service providers and government partners supporting the low-income communities hit hardest by the fires. The best seats in the house will be donated to first responders, volunteers and families impacted by the firestorm for an evening of solidarity, respite and hope.

Concert goers and supporters can contribute to this effort in ten different ways:

  • Buy tickets — Limited tickets are still available for the nearly sold out show. 100% of ticket sales will go the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund. Buy tickets by visiting
  • Donate through YouTube — Viewers livestreaming through the Metallica YouTube channel can donate through YouTube on the night of the show. Google will match all donations made through the YouTube livestream and Text to Give up to $1 million until January 1, 2018
  • Text to Give — Donate $25 by texting TOGETHER to 20222 until January 1, 2018, standard messaging rates apply. Google will match all donations made through Text to Give and the YouTube livestream up to $1 million until January 1, 2018
  • Buy a Concert T — Concert t-shirts created by Gap and sold exclusively at the Band Together Bay Area show will be sold with 100% of proceeds going to Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund
  • Double your donation with Oath — Oath, a global media and technology company with brands like HuffPost, AOL, and Yahoo, is matching up to $100,000 to Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund.
  • Take an Uber — Matching trip fares to and from the concert up to $50,000, in addition to giving $50,000 to the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund
  • Donate through Outside Lands — Outside Lands Works will match donations from Outside Lands community to the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund up to $25,000 through their customized donation page
  • Use Bitcoin to donate — Tipping Point is accepting donations through Bitcoin
  • Create a Crowdrise Page — Create a Crowdrise page and encourage your network to donate to Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund

Doors open for the Band Together Bay Area concert at 4:30 and guests are encouraged to be in their seats no later than 5:45 p.m. for an interfaith blessing from members of the San Francisco Interfaith Council, followed by a video tribute to the resilience and strength of the North Bay communities impacted by the firestorm.

The five-hour show will recognize first responders and local heroes, honoring the 43 victims who lost their lives in the firestorm. Raphael Saadiq will kick off the musical portion of the evening at 6 p.m., followed by Rancid at 6:30 p.m., G-Eazy at 7 p.m., Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds at 7:40 p.m., Dead & Company at 8:35 p.m. and culminating with a performance at 9:45 p.m. by Metallica. In between each set, local celebrities and athletes, including AT&T Park public address announcer Renel Brooks Moon, 49ers legend Joe Montana, San Francisco Giants legends Barry Bonds and Buster Posey and Olympic gold medalist Natalie Coughlin will honor heroes who rose to the occasion during the tragic fires. The program will also include a moment of remembrance for the victims of the the firestorm.
