New collaboration equips frontline poverty-fighting organizations, including JVS, with enterprise AI tools to boost efficiency, transparency, and trust
SAN FRANCISCO–Today, Tipping Point Community in partnership with Anthropic, announced new efforts to provide Bay Area nonprofits with cutting-edge artificial intelligence tools and training designed to increase efficiency and ensure more nonprofit dollars are directly benefiting those in need.
“Nonprofits that succeed in building trust are those that embrace efficiency, accountability, and demonstrate results,” said Sam Cobbs, CEO of Tipping Point Community. “This partnership with Anthropic helps our grantees work smarter and faster, freeing up staff time to focus on the mission while strengthening the systems that track and share impact. In a moment when every dollar must stretch further, adopting tools that improve efficiency is not just smart — it’s a moral imperative.”
Anthropic and Tipping Point are partnering to offer up to 50 Tipping Point grantees free access to Claude Enterprise, Anthropic’s flagship AI platform, along with training, discounted ongoing rates, and tailored support. Following the initial six-month pilot, Tipping Point will cover the cost of an additional 12 months of Claude for its grantees, extending the impact of the program and supporting long-term adoption. The partnership reflects Anthropic’s broader commitment to bringing the benefits of AI to the nonprofit sector.
Partnership highlights include:
- Webinars and training to help nonprofits understand AI capabilities, best practices, and advanced applications.
- Tailored support for specific grantees through one-on-one sessions with Anthropic Customer Success Managers.
- Ongoing collaboration to share learnings and refine AI use cases for the nonprofit sector.
Many nonprofits stand to gain the most from responsible AI applications, yet often lack the resources and technical expertise to adopt these tools effectively. By investing in AI capacity building now, these efforts help ensure that Bay Area nonprofits not only keep pace with technological advancements but also lead in applying them responsibly, channeling more resources and capacity to those who need them most.
“Corporations around the globe are turning to AI to increase efficiency and save time,” said Elizabeth Kelly, Head of Beneficial Deployments at Anthropic. “Nonprofits deserve the same opportunity to benefit from these tools. Through this partnership, we’re helping to ensure that organizations can help even more people across their communities. By providing the tools to streamline operations, strengthen fundraising, and expand impact, these critical organizations can redirect resources where they matter most. We chose Tipping Point for this partnership because they are a proven leader in innovative poverty-fighting solutions and have a strong track record of delivering results for San Francisco’s most vulnerable communities.”
The collaboration with Anthropic reflects Tipping Point’s broader strategy of investing in and scaling what works. By combining proven nonprofit leadership with the same tools driving efficiency in other sectors, the partnership ensures community organizations are not left behind and can direct more of their resources toward meeting growing community needs.
One of Tipping Point’s grantees receiving this philanthropic support is JVS, which is launching the Bay Area’s Economic Mobility AI Accelerator in early 2026. Their program will equip 18 California-based nonprofits with the knowledge and skills to use AI in service of their missions. Over three months, participating organizations will learn AI fundamentals, explore labor market trends related to AI, and co-develop practical AI solutions that address their most pressing challenges — from streamlining case management to enhancing program impact. Each organization will leave with new technical capacity, customized AI tools, and a roadmap for implementation.
“AI is transforming both the job market and how we serve jobseekers — but most nonprofits lack the resources and expertise to keep up,” said Lisa Countryman-Quiroz, CEO of JVS Bay Area. “We’re grateful to Tipping Point Community and Anthropic for supporting California nonprofits to adapt to the steep AI learning curve. This accelerator will help us turn AI from a source of uncertainty into a tool for expanding opportunity.”
This partnership is the latest in Anthropic’s mission to bring the benefits of AI to nonprofit organizations. In July, Anthropic joined NextLadder Ventures as an inaugural AI partner for a new initiative rooted in the belief that every American has the potential to achieve economic prosperity. Anthropic is contributing expertise and technology to support the organizations that the fund invests in. Anthropic has also collaborated with Microsoft and OpenAI, contributing to an American Federation of Teachers (AFT) initiative that would create an AI training hub for educators across the country.
