Jacob joined Tipping Point to continue to fight to end poverty in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining Tipping Point, Jacob spent more than a decade doing research and advocacy to confront and reimagine systems that perpetuate poverty and harm low-income and working people. Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide array of issues at organizations like the Vera Institute of Justice, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and the Southern Poverty Law Center. Jacob began his career working in the Massachusetts State Senate. Jacob was raised in a working class Puerto Rican family fiercely committed to social justice and he carries those lessons in his work today.
